This is a very good play that has worked well for us against a number of defenses. It’s run out of a double-slot formation and the two slot backs must run their routes almost simultaneously, with the right slot back going just before the left. If you perfect the timing, defenses will have a hard time finding the ball.

PLAYER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quarterback: Fake handoff to right slot back and give a
2-yard inside handoff to the left slot back.
Fullback: Dive hard into the backside 3-hole. Fill in for the pulling offensive guard and backside offensive tackle.
Left Slot Back: Take the inside handoff from QB.
Right Slot Back: Take outside fake from QB. Must sell a really good ball fake. Run hard at the backside DE.

Right Outside End: Blocks the right CB to the outside. Must be ready to shift to the middle depending upon the
initial direction of the right CB.
Left Outside End: Blocks the left CB or runs a
deep-pass pattern.
Backside Tackle: Pull or block the LB or monster who aligns nearest to the 4 hole.
Backside Guard: Pull and kick the penetrating DE out.
Center: Vs. a 40 or 50, block the LB. Vs. a 60, check the DG and work to the backside LB.
Play-Side OG: With the play-side OT, double team the right DT. Use combo block technique with play-side OT.
Play-Side OT: Double team the DT with the play-side OG. Vs. a 50, man block the DT and shield him from the 4-hole.

24 Quick Counter Vs. 5-2 Monster.

24 Quick Counter Vs. 4-4 Stack.

24 Quick Counter Vs. 4-3.

24 Quick Counter Vs. 6-2.
