DIAGRAM: This is a great play to use anywhere on the field. The offensive linemen must use sprint protection. Receivers U and Z Sprint hard on the snap and sell the deep route. Receiver X runs a hard sprint route, then drags the CB with him to the middle of the field. The QB sprints out hard to the right (with 10 yards of depth to buy the play some time), looking as if to throw to receivers U or Z.

Receiver Y fires out for a step, intentionally falls down and stays down for a two count, jumps to his feet and then runs a quick release to the weak side of the field. This should be wide open because the weak-side CB has followed receiver X. Y must really be an “Academy Award Winner” and sell the fall-down for the play to be successful!
