DIAGRAM A: 28/29 Rocket Toss. This is a quick pitch play, which is run from the double-slot formation. The backside slot goes in motion to start the play. The offensive line is in zone blocking with the play-side tackle pulling in the alley. The play-side split end blocks the corner. The backside split end cuts off the middle of the field. The quarterback pitches to the backside slot in motion and boots away from the play. The FB cuts off the backside edge. The backside slot, who was in motion, catches the pitch and stretches the play.

DIAGRAM B: “5 At 4” & “4 At 5” Counter Arc Option. This play is ideal against a 50 defense. The offensive line is responsible for base blocking (the man they are on to the linebacker). The backside split end cuts off the middle of the field. The play-side split end stalks or switch-blocks with the slot. The play-side slot switch-blocks with the split end. The back-side slot is the pitch man on the snap. The quarterback dive veer fakes away, reverse pivots and pitches off the defensive end. The fullback dive veer fakes away and blocks the backside edge.
