This play is one of our base plays and it’s been a real “momentum getter” for our team. It’s a great basic play that can be run anywhere, at any time.
The base play is off tackle and the 3 back should run to daylight inside to outside. This is not a sweep play, but rather an off-tackle play that can also be run to the outside.

PLAYER ASSIGNMENTS:
Receiver X: Takes two hard steps upfield and seal blocks the outside LB.
Left Tackle: Takes a step to the play side, curls back and seals the backside DE.
Left Guard: Pulls and trap blocks the first opposite-colored jersey past the center or corner.
Center: Steps to the backside and seals the backside A-gap and the DT who’s playing over the left OT.
Right Guard: Steps to the B-gap and seals the play-side DT.
Right Tackle: Double-teams and seals the play-side DT with the 4 back.
Receiver Y: Takes three hard steps upfield and seal blocks the safety.
Quarterback (1): Reverses out and meshes with 3 back. Makes the handoff to the 3 back and carries out the pass fake.
2 Back: Attacks the C-gap, sealing the outside LB.
3 Back: Mesh the outside handoff with the QB, secures the ball and follows the left OG’s block.
4 Back: Double-teams with the right OT to seal the right DT, then blocks to the inside LB.
