DIAGRAM: This is a terrific fake punt and pass, set up well by what looks like a fake run by the personal protector. It’s best used in situations where the return team is coming on an all-out, punt-block attempt.

The long snapper makes a direct snap to the PP, who secures the ball and runs directly at the Center-OG gap, drawing the opponents toward him. The PP stops just short of the LOS and throws a two-handed basketball chest pass to the WB who has released.
