DIAGRAM: This is a great play for teams who like to throw the 3-step slant-arrow combination or for almost any team because it confuses DBs and allows your receivers to break free vertically without having to have a great release.

The outside receivers slant in front and breaks upfield vertically on the hash mark. The inside receivers break outward of the hip of the outside receiver and sprints upfield vertically along the sideline. The QB takes a 5-step drop, reading the coverage. The offensive line uses simple slide protection with the linemen taking the gap to their right and the RB blocking any threat off the left tackle’s hip.
