DIAGRAM: This is an excellent fake from a spread-punt formation that worked several times for us last season. The key is to have the front line off the ball as much as possible. If we notice in film breakdown, that an opponent doesn’t put a defender into the A-gap, we’ll trap the next defender over on each side of the LOS.
The long snapper makes a direct snap to the personal protector and then downblocks to the backside, while the backside OG pulls and traps the first inside defender to the play side.
