DIAGRAM: “Belly Keep.” This had been a highly successful play for our team over the years. From right to left on the diagram, the on-side wing back goes after the outside LB and makes the block, the on-side TE blocks down on the inside LB, the on-side OT blocks down on the DT and the on-side OG pulls and traps the DE. The center, backside OG, backside OT and backside TE all scoop block the backside defenders.

The backside wing arcs his motion to sell the fake pitch reception to influence the on-side CB.The FB fakes the belly play and aims at the outside LB’s inside hip. The QB opens to the FB, rides the handoff fake, tucks the ball in and follows the FB to daylight.
