BIG G SOFTWARE, located in Alleyton, Texas, is the producer of Off Season Stats on CD Rom. The Off Season Stats program allows coaches to set up their events categorized as numerical or timed events and allows you to incorporate your current point system for ranking players.
Player files can be maintained separately from the roster on all of your athletes. From the player file you can double-click to enter names onto the respective team roster. The roster allows you to record players’ weight, class, position and height statistics. You can then retrieve players by any of those categories.
Events Testing And Ranking
The program also allows you to record test results for as many events as you want and to rank the players based on one event or multiple events. Off Season Stats allows you to rank players based on raw data, a point system or a calculated percentage of improvement between tests.
For example, you can calculate a player’s improvement from the beginning until the end of the season. You can also produce ranking reports for items such as events or player improvement to find the best performance for each event.
Off Season Stats also allows you to create a workout schedule. The workout schedule can be aimed at a particular group working on a specific event or goal. You can also create workouts by specifying the number of repetitions at a certain percentage of a previous test.
Programming Events
Off Season Stats allows you to name an unlimited number of events classified as numerical or timed. Timed event categories are measured in seconds and numerical events are measured in centimeters, inches, kilograms, pounds or repetitions. The program is capable of calculating a ranking based on a point value system for each event.
Single season reports including data sheets for testing players, point value for multiple events, ranking by percent improvement in events and ranking by body weight ratio can also be generated.
The player list, which includes a list of players with their address and phone numbers, allows you to print labels for mailing. The program offers a choice of four of the more standard sizes of labels.
Multi-Season Reports
The newest upgrade to the Off Season Stats program is the addition of multi-season reports. This allows coaches to create reports on a player’s performance over multiple seasons, or on the top performers in specific events over various seasons. With the multiple seasons addition, you can now find your 10 best players for the seasons where you have statistics recorded.
