The Wing-T Lead Series
by Allen Cartwright Head Coach, Claxton High School, GA The trouble with the Wing-T is that out of the base formation you are susceptible to certain plays having to be run in one direction. This is true with the buck sweep and the lead plays. One way to balance up the offense and allow plays to be run in both directions is to move your halfback to a slot position (See Diagram 1).
