Every play starts with the snap of the center and the quality of that snap can greatly affect the timing and success of the play called. It is important, therefore, for your centers to understand that they must snap first and block second. It is also important for us as coaches to drill them in the proper fundamentals of the shotgun snap so that they retain the muscle memory to snap the same way
